I think the most exciting part about having your own place (other than the obvious fact that you have your OWN place) is that you get to decorate it how you want! I love christmas and all the decorations that come out this time of year. Its just so much fun!
Even though i love decorating how i want, i wanted to incorporate old traditions and things i used to do at home with my mom. (Hints the cards in the tree)- I don't know exactly what made her want to start doing this, but i kinda loved it lol So of course, we are doing that in my house!
I knew that for the top of my christmas tree, i HAD to have an angel. I found this beautiful angel at hobby lobby & I'm pretty much obsessed with her. Not to mention, hobby lobby had amazing deals on their christmas decorations. Actually, i think they always have some kind of great deal going on. Its definitely one of my favorite stores to shop at.
This has to be my favorite decoration on the christmas tree. If you know me, you know i am obsessed with my little pup. She is basically my child. This was such an easy ornament to make. It came as a kit from Wal-Mart for about $5-$6 (snowflake sticker not included). This is her first christmas and i wanted something meaningful like this to put on the tree. I can't wait to keep doing these as the years go on.
She did not want to be a model today. This was about as good as i could get haha
So for the table in the living room, i definitely wanted the little red thing to go across the table. (I can't remember what they're called for the life of me! But you where I'm going with this haha) - The centerpiece is something that i made. I have a whole video on it which i will link right below this paragraph. The 2 little trees are from hobby lobby as well. I was so in love with them that i bought both of the ones shown in the photo, and i also bought the bigger one which is in my beauty room! Ill have a post about my beauty room christmas decor very soon.
The Faith, Peace, & Joy stand is also from hobby lobby. I absolutely adore it- but full warning you- the glitter gets EVERYWHERE. But in my opinion, its totally worth it. The vase with the ornaments in it is something i threw together. This vase was from flowers that i received for my birthday, and i knew once the flowers were done, i wanted to do a DIY with it! I love how it turned out. I used some extra tinsel i had at the bottom- Added an assortment of big and small ornaments, then topped it off with a big glittery bow.
I have a couple different christmas collars for daisy, but this one has to be my favorite. I love it because she looks like a present! She kinda loves it too…. i think. Collar was purchased at Petsmart.
Onto the pillows- i LOVE the pops of color. I have to admit, the apartment is decorated pretty bland (minus my beauty room)- So having a pop of color makes me happy. These pillow are from hobby lobby as well!
This little guys sits at my front door with candy by his side… who doesn't love candy right?? He is super cute & was very affordable! Got him at Wal-mart
There are no stockings for the adults, but when i saw this puppy one, i knew i had to have it for daisy! I can't wait to stuff this with cute toys that i got from petsmart! Stocking is from hobby lobby as well as the holder.
For the top of the bar, I saw this at hobby lobby and fell in love. I think it is so gorgeous. I think it is a great daily reminder of what christmas is all about.
